Shooting for stars and bars: MTB National XC Championship quest
The 2009 Mountain Bike Cross Country National Championships will be held at the Sol Vista Resort in Colorado, over 8000 feet above sea level. You know the Colorado natives are licking their chops at this prime opportunity to better their coastal counterparts. So how do we attempt to level the playing field? We take the Team to Tahoe!
The Whole Athlete Cycling Team will hold an altitude training camp in Tahoe City preceding Nationals (July 2-12), then it's on to Colorado (July 13-20) for the big show. Twelve Whole Athletes qualified to race and will participate in the camp. Stay tuned as we post updates and photos from the Tahoe camp and Nationals trip...
Will Curtis & Davis Bentley at the USAC National MTB camp in Germany
Whole Athlete Team Juniors Will Curtis and Davis Bentley got the call-up to cross the pond for some overseas competition and training. Based on their strong performances and obvious potential, USA Cycling Mountain Bike Development Director Marc Gullickson invited the pair to the European Junior Race Camp, where they've been gaining valuable experience racing at the international level.

Bennett wins Nevada City
John Bennett wins the 49th edition of the Nevada City Classic with a last-lap solo move, crossing the line alone against a strong Cat 3 field. Having only just started his road racing career this season, Bennett lacks only a few points from racing as a Cat 2.
